Mail Screening and Security Awareness
In today's evolving threat landscape, every piece of mail is a potential vulnerability—and the first line of defense is you. This course empowers operatives and frontline workers in mail screening environments to develop critical awareness and sharpen their response to suspicious activity. Through practical guidance and focused training, you’ll gain a clear understanding of how to protect the integrity of the mail system and maintain a secure operational environment.

Over the span of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, learners will explore the definition of a “threat” in the context of mail operations and the real-world consequences these threats can carry. The course covers how to accurately identify prohibited articles, follow proper reporting procedures, and react effectively to suspicious circumstances and incidents. You’ll also be introduced to the standards outlined in PAS 97:2021—the recognized specification for mail screening and security.

From conducting effective visual checks to confidently operating X-ray screening equipment, this course gives you the tools to make informed, fast, and reliable decisions on the floor. Whether you’re new to screening or reinforcing your existing knowledge, this training builds the competence and confidence you need to keep mail moving and secure.

Because security isn’t just a policy—it’s a practice. And it starts with you.
