Course aims & objectives
This Perishable Cargo Regulations Awareness course provides an essential overview of the IATA Perishable Goods Regulations.
Learners will gain clarity on key terminology, scope of applicability, and the responsibilities of both shippers and operators. The course also explores special conditions, training requirements, and state and operator variations, along with practical guidance on booking, documentation, and making and labeling responsibilities.
Additional focus is placed on the ULD (Unit Load Device) build-up procedures, as well as quality and risk management measures to ensure compliance and safe handling of goods.
On completion, learners will demonstrate their understanding through a short assessment, leading to an awareness certification that is valid for 24 months.

- Understand the difference between "Shall" and "Must", and "Should" and "May" within regulation terminology
- Identify the responsibilities of shippers, operators, and staff
