Course aims & objectives
This Temperature Controlled Regulations Awareness course provides an essential overview of the IATA Temperature Contorlled Regulations.
Learners will gain clarity on key terminology, scope of applicability, and the responsibilities of both shippers and operators. The course also explores special conditions, training requirements, and state and operator variations, along with practical guidance on tracking, documentation, and making and labeling responsibilities.
Additional focus is placed on the different thermal packaging and temperature-controlled container types and their use.
On completion, learners will demonstrate their understanding through a short assessment, leading to an awareness certification that is valid for 24 months.
Course Objectives - By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the difference between "Shall" and "Must", and "Should" and "May" within regulation terminology
- Identify the responsibilities of shippers, operators, and staff
- Recognise special conditions, state and operator variations
- Understand documentation requirements
- Understand different Thermal Packaging and Temperature-Controlled containers
