Course aims & objectives

This ULD Handling Regulations Awareness course provides a practical introduction to the safe handling and management of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) across the aviation supply chain.

Learners will develop an understanding of ULD types, codes, contours, and serviceability, alongside key handling processes and condition checks. The course also introduces ULD damage classification, messaging systems such as SCM, UCM, and LUC, and the importance of effective ULD stock and stack management.

Designed for staff at all levels - from operational teams to management - this awareness module supports correct ULD handling, damage identification, and role clarity, helping to reduce risk and maintain operational safety and efficiency.

On completion, learners will demonstrate their understanding through a short assessment and receive an awareness certificate.
